Somerset 909

Unit 909 at Somerset is perfect. It has great view, it’s in tip top shape, nicely decorated, well supplied with all amenities in kitchen, on balcony, in beach locker. Management was extremely responsive to the one or two things we needed help with. What more could one want?

Great spaces, great view, very clean. Only complaint is that the composite wood lounge chairs on the deck lacked cushions and were very uncomfortable to sit on without padding

Perfect location for our family Christmas vacation! Unit was clean and very well maintained with plenty of kitchen supplies. Excellent service with property management. We mostly ate in and had a terrific time. Beach location was awesome and we even saw dolphins playing in the surf! Definitely recommend and would love to stay another time.

Let me first say, the location is perfect and the condo was very clean. A few negatives were the master bedroom pillows (please buy new softer pillows) and the master bed itself was pretty uncomfortable. The beach/pool toys were mostly broken and useless. We had to buy a sun covering and have it shipped (amazon) so it wasn't a total loss. Other than that, the management was so accommodating and speedy. We had a squeaky ceiling fan in the master and when I had my fill of that we called and they came that day with a brand new fan. Exceptional customer service! Kitchen utensils/pans could use some updating but none of this (except the pillows) ruined our time there. We would happily stay again. We really appreciated our time there. 2nd time with Marco IVP and we will totally be back. Easy and professional!

The Somerset is located in one of the prime spots on Marco Island Beach. With a large beachfront, it rarely feels crowded. The views of the Southwest Florida sunset from the balcony are just beautiful. We enjoyed dinners on the balcony, and at several of the restaurants within walking distance. We also had no trouble getting a court to play tennis. It was a very restful vacation!

Beautiful condominium - well decorated, appointed and spectacular views. No unit to the south of the condo, so it's private and filed with light. Expansive balcony - we ate every meal outside. A less busy location on Marco Island with easy access to their "private" beach. Professional and available management company.

Everything was terrific including the weather). Waking up to a view of the Gulf every morning priceless :)

Somerset 909 did not disappoint during our week-long stay. This property was modern and absolutely beautiful. We felt comfortable right from the start! We were provided with everything we needed for the beach...umbrellas, chairs, floaties...you name it. Marco Vacation Properties was more than helpful in renting out the condo to us. They were so nice and easy to work with! We will definitely stay here again.

The accommodations were excellent! The one thing that stood out was that the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. That is a big bonus for me!

The place was great! Really no issues. The one thing that drove us nuts was that the internet kept dropping off. One of the towel bars was hanging off the wall and there were a couple of stains on the carpet. I just didn't want to get blamed for them.

We so enjoyed our stay at Somerset with it's beautiful, convenient location on the beach. The sunsets were amazing. In the morning we walked the beach right at sunrise to collect shells and enjoy the views. The unit has good quality furniture and well furnished kitchen. We liked to walk to restaurants and mini golf and appreciated the close distance to both. The pool was warm and inviting. There were good beach chairs in the locker on main beach level for our use.

A few recommendations:

Twin beds in back have thin, pilled sheets and could use better pillows.

The twin bedroom sliding door shade needs to be replaced with one that completely covers the window. They are gaped and when we tried to slightly adjust the vertical shades they pulled out of the top. When we were in bed anyone walking to the end of the hall where that bedroom is located can see into the room at night with the light on.

Marco Island Vacation Rentals was great to work with from the beginning to the end of the reservation. We will work with them again.

Need to give a shout out to the young lady who checked us in. We thought while making a copy of my license that she didn't return it. I couldn't find it. She drove back to the office, after closing hours, to see if it was there. While she did that I checked the car, more thoroughly, and found it! We felt terrible but she was only glad I had found it and was so kind about it!
Our condo was perfect!
A few little recommendations, the coffee pot had a chipped spout which I hoped we weren't getting glass in our coffee! We didn't but could be replaced. Also, I like toast every morning and the toaster gave me problems with releasing the bread! Had to unplug and dig it out. Again, not a huge concern but easy enough to replace.
The view is beautiful. The bed was super comfy and we didn't have a problem falling asleep. I like a flatter pillow but made do, happily!
A short walk to the best restaurants! The FIn Bistro & DeVincis were our favorite.
We absolutely adore Marco Island and we are looking forward, in the near future, to being a seasonal renter.
We will use this management company due to the respect they have for their customers.

Amazing views, quiet building only place to stay on Marco Island!!

1st rate accommodations!! Somerset Unit 909 had dramatic views from the balcony and the unit was beautiful. The entire property was extremely clean with direct beach and pool access. Andrew Vale who manages the property is 1st rate as he was available to us throughout our entire stay- Great Service!! Making plans to be back in the next couple of months! Just a fantastic stay!

We have stayed at this property many times and once again, it was outstanding. Great service, wonderful property.

Excellent stay. The condo was updated, clean and well stocked with beach needs. The view was spectacular. Access to two pools is also great.

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit for two weeks in early June. It was my wife, adult daughter and I, and both of them are teachers and this was their End of School year getaway.
We had stayed at Somerset before in a different unit and we really like the building. It’s in a quiet spot on the beach with no crowds and plenty of space on the beach. The big hotels are a few hundred yards down the beach and it’s much different and more crowded down there.
This two bedroom unit is really nice and really well equipped. It had everything we needed for our stay and really worked well for us. Two minor inconveniences were that we didn’t have garage parking (which is nice for shade) and we didn’t have the ground floor locker like we had in the other unit we rented. All the units at Somerset have ground floor cage lockers for storing beach chairs and umbrellas and stuff, which is really convenient. The owner of this unit must keep the locker and shaded parking for their own use or friends use. It’s a minor hassle carrying beach chairs in the elevator, and there is a large open space outside the front door of this unit where we dropped all this stuff at the end of the day. So it worked fine for us. Beach chairs and umbrellas and a cooler were provided so we had everything we needed.
This unit is at the end of the building with no next door neighbor on one side which is nice for additional privacy.
Overall we give this property two thumbs up and I’d stay here again.
Renting through Marco Island Vacation Properties was really nice, they provided very clear and prompt communications and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Plus we saved the nasty VRBO fees using MIVP. I’ll definitely use these guys for future rentals.

What a view. We loved that you can hear the ocean, too! Nothing like hearing the waves lap on the shore. Home was comfortable; we liked that we had a casual dinner party and 8 of us could dine at the table on the balcony. Appreciate the new white towels in guest room. Turning the TVs off and on was a bit of a challenge for us Boomers (a youngster probably would have figured it out in minutes). A couple of repairs were handled quickly and efficiently by Marco Island Beach Properties.

Wonderful 2 bedroom (King master, 2 Twins 2nd bedroom) condo right on the beach. Very clean, comfortable beds and all the toys needed for the beach provided. Will stay again!

This condo was perfect. The decor was warm and inviting and had the perfect view of the beach. It included all of the amenities you would expect and more. The only thing that was off was a worn out set of sheets on the master bed that were irritating and should be thrown out. Luckily, we found another set to put on the bed. The Marco Island Vacation staff were very nice and helpful.

The beach area is not near any of the public access points, so the beach is not crowded at all. Water sport activities, including sailing, are available nearby on the beach. At the same time, you are a short walk to restaurants, shopping and movies. It is our second time renting this unit, and a lot of little improvements were made. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful accomodations. Balcony views, especially the sunsets were fabulous. Good location for traveling to the everglades and also up north to Naples. The beach was pristine. Pool felt warm and the tennis courts were in great shape. close to many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Somerset 909!!

We had a great week in Marco Island & Naples FL. The weather was perfect, the beach was wonderful, and we had a great condo.

Building is well situated in Marco Island; well stocked: appliances, furniture, lovely ambience, generous space in unit; inattention to small details: screen doors worked poorly; rusted beach umbrella left in closet; router did not work; Andrew at property management responded very promptly to these issues.

We arrived to find our condo immaculate. We opened the slider to see a picture perfect view of the Gulf of Mexico. We had no trouble making the reservatiins and getting directions upon arrival with the gate locks and room keys. Very organized!

This Somerset condo offers spectacular views of the gulf and beach. The condo is clean, well equipped, and exactly as described - no surprises. The Somerset building is one of the nicest on Marco offering a well quiet atmosphere, security and covered parking.

We had a nice time in the 2 BR,2 bath condo. Towels, linens, beach chairs, etc. were supplied which is great when travelling by plane. Property was clean. Had a problem with dryer and maintenance was there within 1/2 hour! Beautiful shells on beach (although hard to walk in bare feet due to all the shells). Nice view from the balcony. August is the off season so pretty quiet, but nice. We travelled to Naples for shopping and excursions. Nearby Marriot has Friday night live singing and a fire dancer.

The condo itself is 5 star...Everything was clean and in working order. The view was nice from a standing position. It was hard to see the beach sitting down from the wall on the lanai. We felt on pins and needled from all the other reviews we read as well as all the management and signs onsite at the Condo with ours kids. Especially at the pool but overall was never confronted by anyone. I would highly recommend this place to couples without kids. If you have kids and don't want to be pulling your hair out the whole time wondering what they are doing you may want to stay somewhere else.

Had a great relaxing vacation. The location to the main beach on Marco was perfect and the view from the 9th floor could not be beat. We had 4 adults with plenty of room in the unit to sleep , relax and set on the large balcony as well. We rented jet ski's for the tour also did parasailing as well as rent paddle board and snorkeled right out in front of the Somerset unit. Plenty to do very close by. excellent location for restaurants close by as well. Came back to work today and highly recommended this unit to them for a great vacation. The unit was in great shape with no issues at all. By the way this unit comes with covered parking to keep the car much cooler than in direct sun.

The location of the condominium is excellent, on the 9th floor at the end. The rental agents were extremely responsive. We had no bath mats and only 2 towels per bathroom. They went out and bought more. The furniture is great, the master bathroom is in rough shape, the shower door can easily get off track. The only other problem was the WiFi, it did not work on most days. My son reset the router a couple of times and then it would work for a day or two, but then stop.

Found the apartment quite adequate. The building is quiet and well maintained. Despite cool weather, the pool's heated water still made it quite swimable.

Somerset is a nice complex. Pools are nice and warm. Unit 909 was decent but could use some upgrading in the bathrooms. Overall we had a nice time.

Best weekly rental property on the island. The units are spacious, well equipped and you can walk to many dining and entertainment destinations. Awesome week

We had a great time both staff at the property & Marco Island Properties were very accommodating. Improvement areas should be focused on upgrading sitting furniture and the master mattress.

Once again, we had a wonderful vacation in Marco Island! We love the Somerset and unit 909 is terrific, it could just use some maintenance in the following areas: 1) Master bathroom....shower is really showing its age. I could DEFINITELY use a model...shower was kind of gross. 2) Lint trap in dryer needs to be replaced. Someone attempted to repair it, but if frequenly falls out during the drying process and "clunks" around in the dryer. 3) Coffee pot burner is disintegrating. It needs to be replaced...may be unsafe.

This is our second rental from M.I.V.P. Had an awesome time. Would definitely choose the Somerset again. The only issue we had is that the patio doors need some maintenance. VERY hard to open.

The only down side were the twin beds in the second bedroom. The mattresses are terrible. I have a bad back and was in a lot of pain all week. My friend slept on the couch rather than the other twin, her mattress was even softer. For the money they charge, the owners should invest in firmer mattresses.

We were very impressed with Andrew Vale's professionslism. He is definetly one of the most customer oriented people I have met in my entire professional career. The condo was perfect for our needs, well kept and very well appointed. View and privacy are outstanding.

Upon our return home, we were fined $50 for having food and drinks in the grill area that is on the pool deck. This has soured our vacation, and we won't return to Marco Island. Feel like HOA was always watching. Rental agent was great and condo was well stocked with beach equipment.
