846 San Marco Road

We stayed at a house with a heated pool and walking distance to the beach. The house is located on a canal, is clean, and has full appliances. The grocery store is a few minutes by car. There are beach and pool amenities. We were 4 adults but there is room to sleep 8 people. We had a fantastic week and would rent it again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, especially hanging out by the pool. However, the interior was very dated and could be remodeled.

Cannot say enough about how nice the pool was! The biggest disappointment was the bathroom situation. In the house it's a Jack and Jill type set-up with sliding doors separating two half baths to one shower. The other full bathroom is located outside by the pool, which is inconvenient. I wish I had read the reviews better as this was a drawback for us.
Beds were nice, I believe they are both kings and not queens as stated in the description. They are quite high though and for anyone with hip issues it can be difficult to get into bed.
We had grandchildren stay in the 3rd bedroom, which had a twin with a trundle. Unfortunately the blinds in this room were in bad shape and we ended up putting sheets over the windows to make the kids feel safe.
We were surprised to find only 1 TV in the house. That made it difficult with children on the days that it rained but might not be a problem for other people.
Washer and Dryer were great! Yes, there were ants but it's Florida and to be expected and they were only in the bathrooms.
I do agree with another review about the cleanliness of the dishes. We had to rewash several pans. I would suggest that the cleaning crew look through the cabinets and not assume that everything is clean.
I know that I sound picky but I wanted to let other renters know the drawbacks we found. Yes, we would rent this place again. For the cost it's a great place in a nice location on Marco Island.

This property is exactly what you need to experience Marco Island to its fullest. It is centrally located and walking distance to the beach (about .5 mile). The pool was amazing! Very clean and the water temperature was perfect. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. My only concern was the second full bathroom is not inside the house, it is outside by the pool. I didn’t realize that from the pictures. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied with the house. Andrew from Marco Vacation rentals was amazing, quick to respond to our questions and needs. We will certainly book through them again.

Our stay was very nice, we had some family and friends over that were staying in other rented homes and they all said out place was a lot nicer. We really enjoyed the pool area.

My family enjoyed our vacation. The house was clean and well laid out for 6 adults. My 29 year old sons became 8 year olds with the amount of fun they had in the pool. I can't say enough about the pool, warm and big with great deck space all around it. Having the bathroom next to the pool kept all the water out of the house. Kitchen was nice(ice maker really slow) and the fridge next to the pool was great. Close to the beach but if your pulling a wagon full of gear it is a bit of haul. Bikes were great to have. Caught some fish off the dock in the back also. Marco Vacations were easy to communicate with. I would stay again.

We were mainly disappointed with two things. The reason we chose this property was it said walk to the beach. Now this may be true for the owners who have access to Resident Beach but that is closed to everyone else. The nearest Public Access is about 3/4 mile away and with coolers, kids etc a walk to the beach is not really that accurate. The second was having people show up all week around 6-8am climbing the mango tree on property yelling and carrying on conversations like they owned it. When confronted I was told in broken English that they were allowed so mind my own business. If you do not download the app you will be missing a lot of information as there is no book on site that describes internet passwords, other passwords etc. We never did find the pool lights. The house was relatively clean and the furniture was in good shape. The pool was supposed to be cleaned once per week but no one ever showed up. It is a nice home, I think we were just expecting a two block walk to the beach not a mile walk.

Great location on Marco with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

This is a nice home in great location. The layout is a little quirky (kind of a Jack and Jill bath set up, but we liked it. The pool is large, warm and gets afternoon Sun. The bathrooms are a bit dated, but fully functional. The property mgmt company was responsive to any maintenance requests. Well stocked kitchen and two refrigerators. Lots of floats for the pool and plenty of beach chairs and gear. I’d stay here again. Note - while it is very close to the residents’ beach, it is about .7 mile walk from the public beach access so be prepared for a jaunt or a little bike ride. Would love two more chaise lounge chairs for pool area.

House was well equipped and had some unique features including outdoor kitchen/bar, bathroom and office. Very large, nice pool. King size beds have excellent mattresses and were super comfortable. They are high off the ground which could be an issue for someone with limited mobility. Older home with updates that made it work for bigger families.

We had a great stay at 846 San Marco. The house was perfect for us.
The pool was warm and so nice to have to ourselves. We cooked most
meals at the house. We also grilled out several nights. It had everything we needed. We rented bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards. We had them delivered to the house. The house did come with 3 bikes so we only had to rent a couple for all of us to have one. They also had everything we needed such as beach chairs, beach toys, and umbrella’s. They also had a wagon for us to pull everything to the beach. We walked one day to the beach. After that we decided to ride bikes. The walk was a little long but definitely doable. We loved having the canal right off the back. We could fish and kayak from the house. We even saw a dolphin from the dock. It is off of a busy road. That didn’t bother us much as the landscaping blocks all of it when you are in the pool area. We would stay here again!

Very private screened in pool area with southern exposure. Having our own private pool where we could listen to music without bothering others was great. The house was a bit dated but the appliances looked new. We did have a few minor issues but they were easy to overcome. The coffee pot was cracked so we just bought a new coffee maker at Walmart for $15 and left it there. Also, they ask you to wash all but the last day linens which is fine except there was no laundry detergent provided so we had to buy some just to do two loads. There was dish washing detergent provided though. Also they mentioned the trash pickup times which were on Tuesday and Thursday. We hadn't put anything in the trash containers as of Tuesday so we didn't worry about it. Apparently the previous guests hadn’t put the trash out so when we did have a bag to take out Wednesday we discovered the cans were full. Luckily we got it out to the road for Thursday pickup so no harm done.

It's fairly centrally located on the island and close to Collier so it was easy to get to anywhere on the island. Actually you could get all the way to the south end of the island using back roads which was handy to do with the golf cart we rented for a couple days. The pool area had an outdoor kitchen area with a refrigerator and an air conditioned bathroom with a walk-in shower separate from the house and just a few steps from the pool. The covered lanai was great for sitting outside (bug free) in the evening. We also enjoyed walking the property looking at the pineapple plants, fruit trees and other plants. The layout of the house was unusual but convenient. There were essentially two half baths plus a room with the tub/shower. All interconnected and assessable from the two main bedrooms and the hallway. Great for a family or two couples. There is an additional room that was set up as more of a sitting room with sofa/trundle bed so it could be used as a third bedroom.

This place has big pool that’s great for kids and is in a good location. Not a bad spot for the money.

The house is a little outdated but the layout worked great for us. The pool is nice but there is not a five minute walk to the beach you have to drive you have to pay for parking and you do have to be there at a certain time to get a parking spot that part was going to hold me back from going back there

We had a fabulous stay at 846 San Marco. The customer service with the company was outstanding. The home is lovely and in a wonderful location. We would definitely come back and would definitely use Marco Island Vacation rental again! This week in Marco was exactly what our family needed and the accommodations were perfect.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed our stay at this home thoroughly! It was clean, comfortable and super cute! The kids had a blast swimming in the huge swimming pool and running around the house catching lizards. It was a quick walk to the beach (even though we drove because we had so much to bring) and conveniently located to everything! We would definitely consider staying here again!
